I usually use VLC player for playing mkv files but lately I use Windows media player (version: 12.0.7601.17514) because I like the default brightness and all the other display settings that are set as default. It seems to me that movie is more colourful watchin it with Windows Media Player instead of VLC, but I have one problem with it.For example if I have a movie.mkv and movie.srt file, subtitles are displayed with very small font on my DEll 30". I was searching the menue in Windows Media Player to adjust subtitle font size but there ain't any? Also I have tried with Desktop-Personalize-Display-Medium 125%, but that does not enlarge the font size of subtitles in Windows Media Player.
As I was searching for a similar thing in the past, couldn't find any solution , but I moved on to media player classic and I would pause at a particular place in the video to check the current time in milliseconds by hitting Ctrl+G ....

I'm trying to make a script that will generate a .WPL file. The script scans the folder for all .mp3 files, and includes them in the .wpl file. However it doesn't seem to work, as Windows media player gives me an error that the file is corrupted. 2ff7e9595c
